It’s fair to say Vanessa is has a great influence in the world of biking.
The Girl on a Bike is great to work with and knows exactly what she wants and how to get it. Her shoots are always fun and she is a complete natural in front of the camera. What makes her stand out as a biker is that she is an extremely tall, attractive woman with an intelligent mind and most importanty, is a survivor of trauma.
Vanessa's life changed dramatically in March 2014 when she was hit by a car on her way home from work. While the initial injuries were not life-threatening, they were life-changing. During her recovery from multiple surgeries she came up with the idea to start a campaign and thus, #thegirlonabike was born.
Each shoot included her beloved #HarleyDavidson and ultimately needed to portray the sense of freedom and adventure she encounters when on the road. Since the birth of @thegirlonabike, Vanessa is always on the road, travelling the world and positively motivating others.
